Vudu Popaj — concert and book launch at Kontrapunkt

Vudu Popaj returns to Belgrade audiences after a longer break on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Kontrapunkt, Despota Stefana 68b. The evening starts at 9:00 p.m. and combines a book launch with a concert.

The first part of the programme presents the poetry collection “Pod znacima naroda: Začini mladog Vudua”, published by Nova Nova Poetika. The book presentation is followed by Vudu’s concert and a return to songs that helped shape the Serbian hip-hop scene of the 1990s.

Radenko Stojanović, better known as Vudu Popaj, brings together rap, poetry, humour, satire and social criticism. His debut album “Voodoo Popeye” was released in 1997, and recognisable songs from his catalogue include “Karantin” and “Nije ti fazon”. The Kontrapunkt event offers an opportunity to experience his musical and literary work in one place.

Tickets cost 1,000 RSD. For reservations and information, call 069 228 5371. Tickets are also available at Kontrapunkt on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00 p.m.
