Rista My People

Ivan Ristić – Rista is the editor-in-chief of My People, a media outlet dedicated to Serbian and regional hip-hop. Through interviews, reports, reviews and archival stories, My People documented the artists, albums and events that shaped the scene.

Rista’s work connects music journalism with the preservation of hip-hop history. Documenting the scene allowed conversations and events that might otherwise have remained outside the wider media to become part of an accessible archive of Serbian rap.

On Budjenje, he discussed the magazine’s origins and work, encounters with artists, changes in the media and the experiences behind stories gathered over years of covering the scene.
